Hello Friends,

       In my Delphi programs, I want to change the File name which i set Programmatically (I think). Everywhere, I find the new name but while running, on the Start bar & Windows Task Bar, it shows the old name only. I want to change that name. I tried once changing the name using Flex Hex, but ut gave error & was not able to run the application. The new & old file names were of same size except spaces were replaced with chars. On search, I find the old name inthe exe file.
     Can anyone help & guide me in making the reequired corrections step wise. I want to make sure that the name changes. I really need this changes to be implemented proeprly.

Did you try to experiment with FlexHex by changing only one or two chars in the app name?

Yes I did change the whole name - both names have same length. I saved & reoprned in PE Explorer, saved & ran it. It was unable to run saving that applications config has changed.

Just open your app in FlexHex, change a char, save and run.

Oh God, it worked this time. But the new name is 2 chars larger than the old. What do I do in this scenario? Currently, I have changed till old name size only. New name has 2 more chars. Guide me for that.

Choose a new name  '>  Adding two extra chars will render your app invalid.
