Once i run the edited exe file, it just doesnt run! I checked in Task man and I do not see it under processes or applications. I've tried on Vista Ultimate and server 2003.

the original works exe works fine

Have i missed anything?

thanks

The original exe may be packed, encrypted, or protected from tampering. I can't say more without looking into the file itself.

The exe is packed with UPX and doesn't run after unpacking, even if you don't change anything. Apparently it performs sort of self-check of something like that.
