Hi!

Here I have a compiled PE as a screensaver (*.scr) which has PNG files compiled into it. Using Hex viewer I can see that the files are actualy formated as normal PNGs, starting with ‰PNG and ending wth IEND®B`.

I have downloaded PE Explorer in hope I could identify them and help me extract them, but no success. Is there a way to do this, some plug-in? Or PE Explorer doesn't scan for such files at all? I think this could be no problem to program, and very usefull too...

Thanks in advance!

PE Explorer can extract anything from the resources. Scanning and extracting hardcoded pictures from the screensaver body is far beyond the scope of this software.

Thank You for the answer TechMan!

In the meantime I've found the freeware that does exactly that (and much much more). It's called Multi Ripper. I hope someone will this be of help.
Btw. PE Explorer is the best resource inspector that I have found, just keep good work guys!  '<img'>

Thanks Bernard! However, besides being an effective resource inspector, PE Explorer does a way more!  '<img'>

If all you need is just a Resource Editor, check out Resource Tuner.
