Hello,

I am making some changes in an exe file. I was successful so far. When I run the prg, on title bar the new name appears, but the window on Start pane says the old name only. PE Exp. support guys suggested to use FlexHex to change that name which may be hard coded. I found that name & chnaged it. I changed in the copy of my file. I saved & run the application. It says "Error in opening .... file. The application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. REinstalling the application may fix the problem".  I ran the file where I had made all changes & was working perfectly. That file also shoed the saem error. I changed the changes made via FlexHex & saved & ran, but same error.

I don't know what went wrong & where? Now what to do? I have the bak files. How do I restore the last bak file that was working perfectly till last night.

Any idea/suggestion is heghly appreciated. I am in a hurry as had to submit hte file today, but suddenly this event occured & I am like nowhere.

Thanks

Make sure the new name has the same number of characters as the old one.

Yes Robot, it has the same number of chars, except it was "ABC drfghi" & I wrote "AbCDEfghi" - something like this only. In blank space, I wrote a char & changed other chars. Size is same.
