so how do you use this program for reverse engineering? like, getting rid of an activation on a 30day trial program?

Reverse engineering is simply the act of figuring out what software that you have no source code for does in a particular feature or function.

Removal of copy protection, or cracking, has almost nothing to do with reverse engineering.

i beg to differ. If you reverse engineered an .exe file of a program (say "launch.exe"), and then re-engineered it (if thats a word) so that it disincludes certain functions (like checking an expiration date) then it has everything to do with cracking, my dear friend.

You ask in the wrong place. PE Explorer is not designed to defeat the security attempts of other software authors.
